How recommerce works at My Last Deal

We buy open-box, customer returns, and overstock from Canadian retailers and brand partners. We inspect, test, photograph, and re-list — and you pay for what it actually is, not what it pretends to be.

Where the inventory comes from

Most of our products are returns or overstock from major Canadian and US retailers — items pulled from the supply chain because the box was opened, a delivery was refused, or a season ended. Brands like Costway, Giantex, Zinus, and Olakids send us cancelled, returned, or surplus inventory in pallet lots.

Our 7-point inspection

• Visual condition check — exterior, finishes, fabric
• Function test — all switches, motors, joints, electronics
• Hardware count — every screw, bolt, and tool verified
• Box and packaging assessment
• Photograph each unit (no stock photos for open box)
• Assign a condition grade with our internal rubric
• Final QA + sticker before it hits the shelf

Why it’s cheaper

Retailers can’t put a returned item back on the new-product shelf, even when it’s perfect. We take it, do the work, and pass the savings on. That’s the whole model.
